The Provincial Growth Fund is investing over $1.24 million in to Hokitika airport.

This will improve airport terminal congestion problems and make room for shops and cafe businesses to make the airport facility fit for purpose.

The airport supports the region's economic development and gives key sectors the confidence they need to connect to their markets.

Air New Zealand currently operates a daily service between Christchurch and Hokitika.
