Gas Security Fund expert panel appointed
Published: 4 March, 2026
Gas and energy industry specialist Andy Knight is to chair a panel appointed to provide expert advice to the Government on applications to the Gas Security Fund.
This $200 million co-investment fund is seeking proposals for projects that will bring more gas to market more quickly, or help manage seasonal demand.
Mr Knight is joined on the panel by exploration geoscientist Tim Allan and energy and sustainability consultant John Pagani.
Officials continue to assess options for 2 more members to be appointed to the panel.
The panel members have deep commercial and technical oil and gas expertise, and experience of New Zealand’s complex gas exploration and market conditions.
