Top of the South/Te Tau Ihu includes Nelson, the Marlborough Sounds and sunny Blenheim. The region is known for its wine production and stunning vistas.
The people of Te Tau Ihu, just like other regions across New Zealand, want to lift the cultural, environmental, economic and social opportunities of their mokopuna. In June 2018, the Nelson, Marlborough and Tasman Councils, iwi, Wakatū Incorporation and other stakeholders agreed to work together on Te Tau Ihu Regional Growth Strategy. It will eventually identify a pipeline of priorities to progress to 2020.
