Governance of the NIWE Primary Producer Finance Scheme

Proper governance and oversight of the NIWE Primary Producer Finance Scheme is important and will be provided through the following framework.

NIWE PPFS Joint Ministers make decisions on investments under $20 million. These Ministers are:

• The Minister of Finance
• The Minister of Agriculture
• The Minister for Regional Development
• The Minister for Economic Development
• The Minister for Rural Communities

In order to prioritise pace of delivery, a delegated subset of NIWE PPFS Joint Ministers were authorised to make investment decisions up to $4 million. These Ministers are:

• The Minister of Finance
• The Minister of Agriculture
• The Minister for Regional Development

Cabinet makes decisions about investments of $20 million or more.
